Plaza assists those with hearing and sight problems

In keeping with our mission to serve the entire Jewish Community, Plaza Jewish is pleased to offer Kaddish cards, a “Prayers and Meditations” booklet, prices lists as well as Plaza brochures in braille. Working with the Jewish Braille Institute (jbilibrary.org) has been an honor and we look forward to partnering with more organizations that provide services to the blind community.

In addition, the chapel provides state of the art assistive listening devices.

Plaza was also the first chapel in the New York area to stream services. In 2003 when we launched the service we had intended to use the streaming for the in firmed who were unable to attend. Since our first webcast through today over 1000 families have used the service and over 4000 people have watched a service in real time or later as the services remain up on our website for 30 days (password protected).

Plaza Jewish is honored in making available our content in Braille, and as part of our mission we will continue to partner with those that aid people with disabilities.
