Exit Strategy Podcast Wins Communications Industry Awards

New York – May 15, 2023 – The podcast of Plaza Jewish Community Chapel, Exit Strategy, won two major awards from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA) at the 29th Annual Communicator Awards.
 

Exit Strategy, hosted by Stephanie Garry, Plaza’s Executive Vice President of Communal Partnerships, debuted its first episode in 2022 and explores the spectrum of end of life issues — from grief and palliative care, to solo aging and interpretations of death in the arts.
 

Exit Strategy received two awards of distinction for “Rethinking and Living our Legacies,” an episode featuring Rabbi Steve Leder of Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles speaking about ethical wills as critical instruments for one’s life and legacy.
 

“We launched Exit Strategy a year ago as a new platform to raise awareness and advance in a significant way discussions of issues surrounding end-of-life,” said Garry. “To be recognized with this prestigious honor is a marker of Exit Strategy’s impact and value, and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
 

The Communicator Awards is the leading global awards program honoring creative excellence for marketing and communications professionals. Approximately 3,000 nominees were considered this year.
